When planning a vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, make sure you include a visit to the Pigeon Forge Gem Mine, located on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, only two miles from Dollywood, and minutes from Gatlinburg and Sevierville. Here you can mine for your own gems in our flume area. You can have your finds cut and polished and mounted into Jewelry. Visit our FREE Rock and Fossil Museum. Check out our General Store which includes our Assay Station, Rock Shop, Fossil corner, jewelry counter, unusual gifts made from rocks and fossils. While you are here you can see and feed five live bears at our sister store Three Bears General Store. This site is still in it growing stages and not all links work yet. Book mark us and come back to visit often. Make sure you check out our tongue in cheek history of the mine as well as our Stone to Gem as you follow a stone from the time its mined at our flumes until it mounted on a ring.
